Playing off the Cistern’s unique 17-second reverberation, Marcus Maroney’s skill at weaving instrumental sounds together and juxtaposing them against each other will take you on a magical sound journey inside one of Houston’s most iconic spaces, based upon The Four Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Cistern plus enjoy the performance, which will be presented at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm.

River Oaks Chamber Orchestra’s 2021-2022 season opens with the belated world premiere of “Eye of the World”, conducted by Mei-Ann Chen. The piece is a duo concerto for flute and viola d’amore by Marcus Maroney, written for ROCO husband and wife musicians Matthew Dane and Christina Jennings.
