The Telling

THE TELLING was composed while in residency at the Willapa Bay AiR on the imposing and rugged Pacific Coast. The piece alternates urgent rhythms and hesitant lyricism, reflecting the various states of mind people experience when revealing sensitive information to one another. The piece doesn't 'say’ what the aftermath of 'the telling' is but focuses on the energy immediately before and during.
